San Diego

On Monday the 4th we figured out that Chris didn't have school on Thursday because of a Jewish holiday. His friend Matt from school told him a while back he could get us free tickets to the San Diego Zoo so we decided that it would be a fun quick trip. It's only a 5 hr drive. He was able to get off school on Wednesday as well so we left in the morning around 8:45. Chris' mom let us use her hotel points to stay for free which was so great! We stayed at the Residence Inn in La Jolla and we would definitely stay there again. Ok, backing up a little bit. Matt's mom sent the tickets in the mail on Monday and we were expecting them to get here on Tuesday(from California), but they didn't and we didn't want to wait for them on Wednesday so we decided to just forget about the zoo and just do whatever else we wanted! We for sure stayed busy! 

Ryan didn't watch one movie on the drive. He just played and sang songs and slept. Paige did pretty well. She took 2 naps and I hung out in the back seat when I wasn't driving. Chris usually drives, but I needed a break! We put her carseat cover over her when she feel asleep. She woke up for a few minutes, but wasn't really crying so we didn't do anything and she fell back asleep but she was hold on to the cover. :)
