For my lesson in primary this month I made each child a card that they could use a penny to scratch off to find out what "gifts have been given because Joseph Smith saw and testified of Jesus Christ." It was perfect for the Christmas season and it was something fun for me to do. Although it took some time, I always love preparing and teaching lessons in Sharing Time.
Ryan's Sunbeam teacher, Sister Lee. We had several changes but she was the one Ryan loved the most. She got married and is now at BYUI, but now he is in love with her parents.
These pictures did not turn out how I wanted them to, but the kids look cute. Paige's outfit doesn't read too well on camera but she was adorable in person. Ryan-he's just a handsome little fella. :)
Christmas Eve we gave the kids new plates. They loved them. Chris and I were up late getting gifts wrapped and bags packed for Utah. We did our full on Christmas on Christmas Eve cause the kids don't know yet. We wanted them to have a day to play with their toys and not feel rushed the morning of Christmas to get to the airport. It worked out perfectly.
My pictures from "Christmas" morning are horrible. Our main overhead light went out and at 6 am the sun wasn't up yet. I was so irritated!

I finally let Ryan watch Super Hero Squad. I wasn't sure if it was ok for him to watch but he had been asking me a million times. He was in HEAVEN!
Our plane ride to Utah was so nice! We left on Christmas morning around 11. Our neighbor Rich was kind enough to drive us to the airport and my parents picked us up!
The first thing Ryan did when he got out of the car was run right over to the snow and eat it! He was soo excited to play in the snow!
That night all my family was over and we ate dinner and exchanged gifts. My mom did a fun gift exchange story with everyone.
My dad asked Ryan to get the mail...it wasn't the easiest thing for him to carry in with gloves on!

For New Years we got together with friends and played poker. I can totally see how people get addicted to gambling! It's a pretty fun game. But, thank goodness it doesn't give me any desire to walk down the street to my local Smiths and throw in a few dollars. Anyway we had a blast and stayed up too late.
