Heavenly Brownies

I couldn't do it myself so he decided that it couldn't go to waste. :) This is my favorite brownie recipe ever. pass down from my mom. May 6th


Heavenly Brownies 

1 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
¾ c. cocoa powder
1 ¼ c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 t. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Combine flour and baking powder in a small bowl.
-In a saucepan melt butter or margarine and sugar in saucepan.  Add cocoa powder.
-Allow to cool slightly, so eggs don’t cook when added.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.  Add vanilla.
-Stir in flour mixture and nuts, if using.
-Spread batter into a greased 9” x 13” pan.
-Bake for 25-30 min. or until a few crumbs are still attached when tested with a toothpick.
-Cool in pan on a wire rack.
